Spring Equinox, The wheel turns...

The Wheel of the year turns in earnest as the Vernal equinox is upon us. Despite the woes of the World our Rites bring us into the calming presence of our Goddess & the Horned God. We melt away into their magickal realms, into the heady mix of Ritual our Rites bestow. The sense of communion with the Gods is felt too in the world at large, the crisp cold nights giving way as the Suns rays pierce through the clouds to bring warmth to the land and joy to the soul. The scales have tipped at last in the northern hemisphere to the promise of the coming Summer. The fires of Helios in heaven rekindled too within ourselves as the Winter at last begins to release its grip, in what are hopefully the last of the whipping cold winds of the darker months. The Spring Equinox Rites reflect on these themes, bringing forth the flame of joy and love to all. The Goddess in her beauty and bounty emerges, risen from the depths as Persephone, to bud forth in Flora's bounteous blooms to come.

Making the most of the Spring we found ourselves wending west to Avalon's Isle, visiting Glastonbury as the Sun cut through a mist shrouded Tor. Taking time to peruse its shops and cafes and to enjoy the ambience of the place. Then on to Devon and Cornwall, enjoying the fabulous countryside, narrow lanes, gorges, beaches, villages, stone circles of the ancients. So great to enjoy the landscape and to meet friends whom we thank for their generosity and hospitality, this really all made for a joyful journey!......And the welcome of the Spring!!
