Imbolg-Candlemas Sabbat.

January and February always seem like long months in England. Winters cold, icy grip still holds the land, as rain pours and winds whip and scream along the hedgerows, lanes and streets.
The Sabbat of Imbolg or Candlemas though is a time of promise, that of life to come. Nature defiant, even in this sad age of global warming and damage to wild habitats. Snow drops and Crocus rise in a patch like cloak across the forest floor. Whilst above small flocks of Finches and Tits flit amongst the skeletal brambles and trees in search of scarce food.
Our Sabbat candles burn bright, awaiting the light of the Sun God rising higher in the heavens. The Horned God retreats to the forest depths, as the Goddess brings forth new life. What better way for us to start the new year, and Sabbat round of the Wheel than with Gardnerian friends. Our subtle differences of working the Craft evident and so interesting to see. It was an absolute joy to work in Circle and catch up. A day of magick and feasting spent with such lovely, learned practitioners under the auspices of the Gods is a blessing to experience!
Such a fabulous start to the New year and a salve to these dark days!!
Thank you Guys!.......
